Birger Meling has continued to impress for Rosenborg, after a move to Celtic didn’t quite materialise this summer.

Celtic were said to be on the verge of signing the Rosenborg full-back by the Glasgow Evening Times, but the move fell through at the last minute.
Meling has stayed in Norway, where he has gone on to impress this season.
And it seems that Meling could now be on his way to Britain after all, but with West Ham rather than Celtic.
The Mail suggest that the Hammers are eager to bring in the full-back in January, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side look to strengthen their defence.
West Ham have played both Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell at left-back this term, but neither of the pair have entirely convinced.

If Meling does go on to impress in the Premier League, there may be some regrets at Celtic that they didn’t force through a deal.
Although the Bhoys did bring in Greg Taylor and Boli Bolignoli over the summer to strengthen at left-back, Meling’s value could rocket if he catches the eye in England.
And West Ham will be hoping that the 24-year-old can make them a tougher side to beat, if he does sign up.
