West Ham United have joined the race to sign Tyler Adams as the Leeds United midfielder attracts major interest.
Leeds United’s Tyler Adams is the latest target on West Ham United’s radar to help fill the gap left by Declan Rice’s expected exit.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that West Ham ‘appreciate’ Adams in their hunt for a new midfielder.
Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, Everton and Nottingham Forest are all understood to have been in the race for Adams.
West Ham are now considering joining the hunt and the report claims that Adams does have a relegation clause in his contract.
Whether that means that he can leave for a set fee or on loan is unclear but Adams looks destined to leave Leeds this summer.
The Hammers have been linked with a number of midfielders of late, including Amadou Onana and Youssouf Fofana.
Adams will now be very appealing after suffering relegation with Leeds, with a deal potentially a little easier.

Tyler Adams can help replace Declan Rice’s defensive ability at West Ham United
West Ham star Rice looks set to move on this summer with Arsenal and Manchester City battling for his signature.
No matter where Rice goes, West Ham will have to work hard to replace him – possibly with two signings.
West Ham may well go for a box-to-box player to replace Rice’s ball-carrying abilities as well as a holder to replicate his defensive qualities.

Adams would fit the latter category having impressed as a defensive midfielder for Leeds in the Premier League and the USA at the World Cup.
Only Joao Palhinha (4.2) racked up more tackles per game in the Premier League than Adams (3.7) last season, whilst Adams ranked joint-eighth for interceptions per game at 1.5; Rice had 1.7.
Hailed as a ‘special’ player by former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch, Adams was one of few Whites players to shine despite relegation.
The 24-year-old still has bags of potential too and and if West Ham can sign Adams without taking a huge dent out of the Rice money, then this could be a masterstroke.
