According to O Jogo, Vitoria de Guimaraes are willing to discuss selling winger Marcus Edwards to West Ham United.
It’s claimed that Vitoria are not losing the door to a potential deal, and business between the two clubs could well materialise.
Vitoria do though want a big price for Edwards, in line with his importance to the club and the quality he has shown in Portugal.
£18million may be needed to sign Edwards, and it seems unlikely that West Ham will have that kind of money to spend this month – but Vitoria are at least open to business.
Edwards, 22, racked up nine goals and nine assists for Vitoria last season, rebuilding his career having been offloaded by Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
He only has one goal and two assists this term, but he remains a speedy and tricky right-sided winger with a superb left foot.

Edwards was always backed for stardom at Tottenham, with Mauricio Pochettino even comparing him to Lionel Messi back in September 2016.
That hasn’t really come to fruition, but West Ham may be willing to offer him a return to England – if they can come up with a price that Vitoria like.
