West Ham United have approached Red Bull Leipzig for Timo Werner, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side look for a striker.

West Ham want to sign a new striker, with Marko Arnautovic looking set to exit the London Stadium, and Werner is now on their radar.
West Ham have reportedly made contact with Red Bull Leipzig over the forward, but any deal does not look likely in January.
Leipzig are said to value Werner at £53.8 million (BILD), but they have told West Ham that he is not for sale this month.
Werner has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, and if he was to join West Ham it would be a transfer which would really raise eye brows.

The German international has scored 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches this season, where his pace and finishing have made him a major threat.
West Ham have also been linked with the likes of Callum Wilson and Alvaro Morata this month (Daily Mail), as Manuel Pellegrini hunts for a new number nine.
