Report: West Ham United make £18m offer for Andre Gomes

West Ham United and Everton are reportedly among the clubs interested in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

According to The Times, West Ham United have made an offer of £18 million for Andre Gomes, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Everton from Barcelona.

The report has also claimed that Everton want to retain the services of Gomes, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with interest in the former Valencia star.

It has been reported that West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has identified the 25-year-old midfielder as a priority signing.

West Ham United transfer?

Tottenham and Everton finished above West Ham in the Premier League table this season, and they are likely to do so again next season.

True, the Hammers are a big club, but with Spurs and Everton reportedly interested in him, it is hard to see Gomes choose the London Stadium outfit over them.

Tottenham regularly finish in the top four of the Premier League and have reached the Champions League final this season, while Gomes was on loan at Everton this season, knows the club and is very popular among the Goodison Park faithful.
