According to a report in the Daily Mirror, West Ham United made a ‘huge financial’ offer to Bernard, but he is set to sign for Everton instead.

Everton are all set to complete a deal for the Brazilian today, on a contract worth around £150,000-a-week.

West Ham were also keen on the playmaker, who is available on a free transfer.

However, Bernard has decided that Everton were the better choice, leaving West Ham having to look for other targets.
