Reports in Turkey today are linking West Ham United with a shock transfer move for a goalkeeper this summer.
It is being reported by several sources in Turkey, including Haberturk, that West Ham are interested in signing Istanbul Basaksehir goalkeeper Volkan Babacan this summer.

The report claims he is one of several Turkish based players they are after – including the known interest in Gokhan Tore and Atiba Hutchinson of Slaven Bilic’s former club Besiktas.
Babacan is a Turkish international, having made his international debut in 2014. He recently featured against England in an international friendly match.

The deal would however be a shock for many, as West Ham have good options in the goalkeeping department.
Adrian has been brilliant throughout the 2015-16 campaign whilst Darren Randolph is a Republic of Ireland international who has performed admirably when called upon.

However, he did struggle against Manchester United in one game before the end of the season and this apparent interest might suggest West Ham boss Bilic is considering other keeping options.
What that would mean for the future of West Ham stopper Randolph would remain to be seen.
