Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is reportedly on West Ham United’s radar.
It has been reported that West Ham have discussed the possibility of securing the services of the former Manchester City and Chelsea striker.
The England international is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Risky signing for Liverpool?
Sturridge is a very good striker with a lot of talent and quality, but the problem with the Liverpool man is that he has a bad injury record.
Andy Carroll has had a lot of injury issues at the Hammers, and the London club simply cannot afford to sign another striker who could be spending a lot of time on the sidelines.
It will better for West Ham if they find another striker to sign in the summer transfer window, even though Sturridge will be available on a free.
Sturridge has been on the books of Liverpool since January 2013 when he joined from Chelsea when Brendan Rodgers – now the manager of Leicester City – was in charge of the Reds.
