According to the Italian news outlet, Serie A outfit Fiorentina are also interested in securing the services of the Uruguay international midfielder.
Laxalt played for Genoa on loan from Inter Milan during the 2015-16 season before joining the Serie A club on a permanent contract last summer.
The 24-year-old’s current contract with Andrea Mandorlini’s side runs until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The midfielder has scored one goal and created 29 chances in 25 league matches for Genoa so far this season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, Laxalt scored three goals and created 31 chances in 35 Serie A games for Genoa.
Genoa are 16th in the Serie A table at the moment with 26 points from as many matches.
Meanwhile, West Ham currently find themselves ninth in the Premier League table with 33 points from 26 games.
The Hammers will face Chelsea at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.
