West Ham United are currently in negotiations with Firoentina over the transfer of Pedro Obiang.
According to reports from Gazza Mercato, West Ham United have entered talks with Fiorentina over the potential sale of midfielder Pedro Obiang.
Many felt that West Ham United had managed to pull off a major coup after securing the services of Obiang from Sampdoria at the start of last season on a four-year deal and understandably so.
Obiang had managed to establish himself as one of the most consistent young midfielders in the Serie A and it was believed that the towering Spaniard would prove to be a very good signing for the Hammers, especially given the physical nature of the Premier League.
However, Obiang was not quite able to produce his best for West Ham in his debut campaign and with the Hammers having signed Harvard Nordtveit over the summer, it looks like the 24-year-old has been unable to earn the trust of manager Slaven Bilic.
Recently, it has been claimed that Obiang could be set for an exit from the London Stadium this summer as his chances of earning regular first-team football at West Ham looks slim and a move back to Italy has been seen as on the cards.
Now, according to Gazza Mercato, claims have been made that Fiorentina are interested in signing Obiang and that La Viola have already entered negotiations with West Ham over a prospective deal for the former Atletico Madrid man.
The report state that Fiorentina manager Paulo Sousa has identified Obiang as one of his priority targets and is willing to spend around £5.1 million on the midfielder.
