West Ham United were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool in Slaven Bilic’s last match in charge.

Bilic was sacked after West Ham’s 4-1 loss at the weekend, and the Croatian’s decision to allow the squad to have the day off on Monday did not go down well.
West Ham’s board reportedly already were of the opinion that the team needed to work harder in training to keep up with their Premier League rivals, and the fact that they were afforded no punishment for their defeat to Liverpool didn’t go down well.

It proved to be the final straw for Bilic, who was let go by the Hammers yesterday.
West Ham have acted promptly to appoint Bilic’s replacement, with David Moyes being announced as their new boss this morning.

Moyes is expected to make West Ham work harder in training, as the Hammers look to move up the Premier League table.
West Ham are currently in 18th place in the top flight standings, with concerns growing that they could be relegated.
Moyes’ first match in charge will come next weekend, when West Ham take on Watford at Vicarage Road.
