West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly interested in Lyon attacking midfielder Rachid Ghezzal.
According to a report in French Newspaper Foot 365, and as reported by Get French Football, both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have entered negotiations with Lyon’s Rachid Ghezzal.
Ghezzal is expected to leave Lyon at the end of the season, as his contract with the Ligue 1 side is coming to an end.
Ghezzal is free to talk to foreign clubs in January, and both Tottenham and West Ham have reportedly already alerted the attacking midfielder to their interest.
Tottenham and West Ham feel that they could get a bargain by signing the 26-year-old on a free transfer.
Ghezzal has made 13 appearances for Lyon this season in all competitions, and he has scored one goal and claimed three assists.
Tottenham and West Ham are both keen to strengthen their attacking ranks, as the pair have arguably not been as potent as expected.
While Spurs remain unbeaten in Premier League action, Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s main strength has been in the solidarity of their defence.
West Ham, meanwhile, sit in 17th place and Slaven Bilic is keen to inject some quality into his squad, to ensure they do not get embroiled in a relegation battle.
