Manuel Lanzini, Felipe Anderson and Fabian Balbuena are likely to leave West Ham United this summer as David Moyes looks to raise funds for new signings, as reported by The Standard.

In many ways, Brazil international Anderson has come to epitomise a rather sorry era at the London Stadium.

Arriving for a staggering sum of £36 million, the former Lazio star was supposed to take West Ham to a whole new level. But, despite an impressive debut season under Manuel Pellegrini, Anderson proved to be the latest in a long line of overpaid, overpriced and underperforming players to don the claret and blue shirt.

It is no coincidence that, as soon as Moyes returned for a second spell in the dugout, demanding blood, sweat, tears and no shortage of work-rate, Anderson tumbled down the pecking order.

The £80,000-a-week attacker is currently on loan at Porto – and he hasn’t exactly set the world alight there either.

And, with The Standard reporting that Anderson is likely to be sold this summer, you’ll forgive us if we aren’t feeling particularly surprised.

The report adds that Lanzini, the long-serving midfielder who’s importance to the club has diminished following a series of injuries, will also depart.

As will Paraguayan centre-back Balbuena, a free-agent in July.

“The first time I came here he was terrific for us,” Moyes admitted back in October, after Lanzini came off the bench to score that last-gasp wondergoal against Tottenham.

“It’s been hard (for him), he’s had to fight for his place because the form of our players has been really good.”

In the last six months, the £70,000-a-week Lanzini has started just two Premier League games.
