Adrian has not featured for West Ham United since January but Slaven Bilic has decided to keep him, according to reports.
West Ham’s Adrian
A report in The Sun has claimed that West Ham have decided to trigger the extension clause within Adrian’s contract, which will keep the Spaniard at the London Stadium for another year.
The Sun reports that the goalkeeper’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season, and few would have been surprised if that deal was allowed to run down and the path was left clear for him to leave.
Adrian has featured just once for the Hammers since the turn of the year, and has not played in the Premier League since the draw with Stoke City in early November due to Darren Randolph being given the role of number one in the top flight.
But despite the 30-year-old falling down the pecking order, The Sun reports that West Ham have decided to keep him rather than look for a new rival for Randolph in the summer.

While Adrian is not starting games at the moment, Slaven Bilic will surely be hoping that the new deal has a positive impact on the former Real Betis man and motivates him to push his positional rival in training.
The news may also be of note to Everton. The Liverpool Echo reported in January that Ronald Koeman was considering a move for Adrian but ultimately decided against a switch due to Joel Robles’ form, and this latest update will make any future interest harder to follow up on.
