West Ham United and Bournemouth are linked with the Brentford starlet.

According to The Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog [16/06/2018, 12:30], West Ham United are tracking Brentford defender Chris Mepham.
The 20-year-old had an excellent breakthrough season with the Bees in the Championship last term.
He made such a good impression, in fact, that Bournemouth, who were linked in January, have lodged a £10 million offer.
However, The Daily Mail claims that the Cherries have been knocked back in their attempts to sign the Wales international.
The report goes on to claim that West Ham are also interested in Mepham, stands at 6’3.

If the report about Bournemouth is true then it looks like West Ham will have to spend relatively big on the towering centre-back.
Rejecting an opening bid of £10 million suggests that Brentford aren’t willing to let him go on the cheap, but you have to imagine that the player in question might favour a move to the Irons over Bournemouth.
The East Londoners have hired Manuel Pellegrini, a Premier League-winning manager, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one pans out.
