West Ham reportedly enquired for the Brazilian striker and entered talks this week.

Italian outlet Corriere Della Sera have claimed that West Ham United have been told they must pay £18million to sign Inter Milan striker Gabigol in the January transfer window.
Talks between the Hammers and Italian giants Inter took place this week after the Premier League side are said to have made an enquiry to sign the striker – as reported by Sky Italy transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 22-year-old joined Inter in the summer of 2016 from Brazilian side Santos for a whopping £28million, but he has managed just 10 appearances for the Italian side since completing his move to the San Siro.
Indeed, he went on loan to Benfica for the first half of the 2017-18 season where he struggled, scoring only one goal in five games. He then went on loan back to Santos for their 2018 campaign, and is expected to return to Inter next week.

He has rejuvenated his career, scoring 18 goals in 35 Brazilian Serie A appearances during the 2018 season. It remains to be seen if he has any kind of future at Inter, but with the Italians and West Ham discussing a fee, it would appear not.
The Hammers must stump up £18million to land their man in the January window, in a move that would prove a risk given Gabigol’s form in Serie A and the top tier of Portuguese football.
