There had been talk of Slaven Bilic being handed a new contract by West Ham United, but reports are saying that they may not be the case just yet.

A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that talk of Slaven Bilic being handed a new deal at West Ham is premature, and his future will be decided in the summer.
The Mirror reports that it had been thought earlier in the month that the Hammers hierarchy were ready to hand the Croatian a new contract at the London Stadium after he led them towards the top half of the Premier League table.
However, the Mirror have added that no talks over Bilic’s future are scheduled to take place until the summer when the curtain has come down on the current campaign.
The news comes in the wake of the Irons’ defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium at the weekend that saw them fall out of the top half of the table, nine points above the bottom three with 10 games to go.

If West Ham enjoy a fairly unspectacular end to the season and finish in mid-table, it would surely be unfair for the club to consider possibly letting Bilic go, and would arguably be a mistake.
The Hammers’ recruitment last summer arguably let Bilic down, so for him to lead the club to a safe finish in the top flight would arguably be a good achievement, especially considering the saga surrounding Dimitri Payet earlier in the campaign.
