West Ham United are planning to offer Michail Antonio a new £65,000-a-week deal in the summer, according to reports from The Sun.

The 27-year-old has been in great form this season and has scored nine goals for the Hammers. Furthermore, he has three assists to his name as well.

His importance to the side goes beyond just scoring goals or creating chances. He is a versatile player who has played as a right back, across all positions in the midfield, and as a forward.

No wonder why Slaven Bilic is desperate to keep his star player. A source close to the club has informed The Sun that Antonio will be offered a fresh new deal, as the club wants to keep their top players happy.

It seems a good move, as Antonio is likely to receive offers from heavyweight Premier League clubs this summer. Back in January, The Times reported that Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, wants to sign attacking full-backs and and that Antonio is at the top of his wishlist.

Antonio could very well be tempted by a move to Chelsea, where he will get to play Champions League football next season.
