West Ham United continue to be linked with two exciting young strikers.
According to a report from All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham United are preparing a second offer for Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru, after their initial bid was turned down.
There have been contrasting reasons why the Hammers are said to have failed in their pursuit of the 20-year-old thus far, but a source has told the website that Slaven Bilic’s side have no intention of giving up.
“West Ham are going to put in a second bid for Henry Onyekuru,” a top source is quoted by All Nigeria Soccer. “They will also bid for Kelechi (Iheanacho).
“The first bid was rejected because Eupen believe he is worth more money, but West Ham are very keen on Henry.”
The 20-year-old was in superb form for the Belgian club last season, scoring 24 goals and providing nine assists in 41 matches.
West Ham need to significantly strengthen their forward line this summer after some uninspiring striking additions this time last year.
If Onyekuru can replicate his best form in England he would be a cracking signing, and Hammers fans already know what Iheanacho can do from his time at Manchester City.
The young Nigerian has scored regularly when given the chance at the Etihad Stadium and with West Ham seemingly preparing to bid for both him and his countryman things could be looking up at the London Stadium.
They certainly will not have anywhere near as much trouble scoring goals.
