West Ham United appear to be determined to land the 25-year-old after failing to bag his signature in January.

According to a report from The Sun, West Ham are planning to make another move for Saint-Etienne utility man Kevin Malcuit after failing to bring him to the London Stadium during the January transfer window.
The Sun reports that the Hammers made two bids for the 25-year-old – the first worth £7 million before they returned with an improved offer of £8.5 million – last month but were ultimately unable to bag his signature.
However, they look set to keep the Frenchman on their radar in the coming months as The Sun adds that they are planning a fresh move when the summer window opens.
According to The Sun, the Irons plan to offer £10 million for the former Monaco man which may well be enough as the Ligue 1 side want an eight-figure sum for one of their key men this term.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic
Malcuit would surely be an extremely useful addition to Slaven Bilic’s squad next season. Though he is predominantly a defender, he is capable of playing in several positions further forward, including on the wing and even up front.
But it will surely be as a right-back where he will be particularly important. West Ham have used several players in that role this term, but arguably none of them have really grasped their chance so it would surely be a mistake for Bilic not to strengthen his options when he next gets the chance.
