The reported West Ham United target looks set to join Leicester City this summer.
The Mail have reported that Leicester City are closing in on the signing of Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
West Ham United have been linked with the 23-year-old but, according to The Mail, he will have a medical with the Premier League champions next week.
The English outlet has suggested that West Ham were willing to pay £9.5 million for Mendy, adding that the Foxes look set to sign him for £13 million on a four-year deal.
If true, it will come as a big blow to the Hammers but, with N’Golo Kante heavily linked with a move away, Leicester look set to pre-empt his exit.
The Frenchman could be quite a coup, given that he has managed over 100 Ligue 1 appearances for Nice following his arrival in 2013.
He began his career at Monaco but a lack of first-team opportunities saw him join their French rivals.
At just 5’6, it appears like he might be a similar player as Kante, who lit up the Premier League last season and helped win City their fairytale league title.
