Reports from his homeland claim that the 6ft 2ins centre-back did not turn up for training on Thursday after bidding farewell to his teammates and the Silkeborg coaching staff.
Alves Ibsen won’t play in this weekend’s clash with Skive either, having featured for the last time in the colours of a club sitting third in Denmark’s SuperLiga table.
BT report that the defender has already travelled to London for talks with West Ham, where he is expected to sign a four-year contract once the transfer window opens on January 1.
Silkeborg are expected to receive a fee of around £2.5 million.
