West Ham United are reportedly leading the race for Nice midfielder Jean Seri.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, West Ham United now lead the race to sign Nice star Jean Seri, leapfrogging Napoli in the battle for his signature this summer.
The Hammers have tied up two signings this week in Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and Toulouse defender Issa Diop, adding to right back Ryan Fredericks.
Whilst defender Alfie Mawson and winger Felipe Anderson look to be the next top targets for Manuel Pellegrini, a central midfielder is also needed – and West Ham could land a big one.

After signing Diop, West Ham may not be done shopping in France just yet, as Tuttomercatoweb report that the Hammers now lead the race to sign Nice midfielder Jean Seri.
It’s claimed that West Ham have submitted a ‘concrete offer’ to sign Seri this summer, with Italian giants Napoli resisting making a move unless Marek Hamsik is sold, with their dallying potentially giving West Ham a shot of a shock deal.
Seri, 26, has starred for Nice ever since his 2015 move from Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira, and he recorded two goals and six assists last season in another strong campaign.

The diminutive Ivorian – who stands at just 5ft 6in tall – has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona over the last year, but no club has managed to push through a deal with Nice.
A creative midfielder with a great passing range, Seri could be a major addition to the West Ham side, and they may look to secure a surprise deal for Pellegrini’s latest target ahead of Napoli.
