The Hammers have been previously credited with an interest in enticing the 30-year-old to London Stadium.

West Ham United are still pursuing the right attacking signing, and they look set to up their interest in Juventus star Mario Mandzukic this summer, according to a report from talkSPORT.
The Hammers’ chase for a top-class forward has been widely publicised over the last 12 months or so, due in no small part to the manner in which that chase has failed so far.
After missing out on the likes of Carlos Bacca last summer, the Irons spent over £20 million on Andre Ayew and brought in Juve star Simone Zaza on loan to try to bolster their attack.
To say that has had a limited effect would be an understatement. Zaza returned to Juve – and has since been farmed out on loan to Valencia – in January after zero goals in 11 appearances, Calleri hasn’t made a Premier League start, and Ayew is only just starting to find his feet after poor form and injury limited his impact in the first half of the campaign.
As a result, West Ham are still on the lookout for a top-quality striker this summer, and talkSPORT claim that they are ready to up their pursuit of Mandzukic.
The Hammers were previously linked with the Croatian star before Christmas, and with only 18 months left on his current deal could be available for a bargain price this summer.
The 30-year-old has netted just five times in the Bundesliga this term but he is not Juve’s main man, and it remains to be seen whether he would be open to a move to East London if a solid offer came in.
The report also claims that the Hammers will have to fight off Besiktas if they want Mandzukic, with the Turkish side eying the former Bayern Munich man as a replacement for Mario Gomez.
