West Ham United are again being linked with Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud.

According to The Telegraph, West Ham United remain interested in snapping up Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud – but he seems most likely to join Chelsea.
The Hammers have brought in just the one new signing this month, having landed Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario on loan until the end of the season on Friday.
Yet, having seen his side lose 2-0 to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday, manager David Moyes could move for more signings before Wednesday’s deadline, with another striker potentially wanted.

Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic are both out injured, Javier Hernandez has been unconvincing for much of the season, Diafra Sakho has been sold to Rennes and Antonio Martinez remains inexperienced.
Now, The Telegraph report that West Ham remain interested in snapping up Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, along with Sevilla, but Chelsea are the favourites to land him.
It’s claimed that a striker merry-go-round holds the key, with Giroud set to leave Arsenal if they sign Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who will in turn attempt to sign Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi, with Giroud arriving as his replacement.

Whilst Arsenal and Chelsea would rarely do business, Chelsea’s refusal to let Batshuayi leave for Dortmund could cancel the Aubameyang deal, meaning Arsenal may be forced to let Giroud join rivals Chelsea to secure their big-money signing.
Arsenal would allegedly rather Giroud joined a team not competing with them in the race for Champions League football – such as West Ham – but the situation dictates that they may be pressed into sending Giroud to Stamford Bridge.
The French international has hit four Premier League goals despite making just one start this season, and could have been a key signing for West Ham, who will no doubt be keeping close tabs on his bizarre situation.
