West Ham are continuing to negotiate a deal for Jesse Lingard with a fee not yet agreed on between David Moyes’ side and Manchester United, the Athletic report.
West Ham are thought to be keen on taking Lingard, with the attacking midfielder eager to move to the London Stadium.
Lingard is thought to have been impressed by West Ham’s progress this term, and the move appeals due to their current position in the Premier League table.
However, the Red Devils are loathed to let Lingard move to West Ham without receiving significant financial compensation.
Lingard has struggled for game time at Old Trafford this season, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men still believe he is worth a sizeable fee, even to take on loan.
West Ham are also reportedly yet to agree how much of Lingard’s £100,000-a-week wages they will pay.

If Lingard does sign for West Ham he should add further quality to a side that are now challenging for a top four spot.
Lingard may have found it difficult to force his way into Solskjaer’s team since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, but he was a key part of England’s World Cup squad two years ago, and clearly does possess a great deal of quality.
At West Ham he would be in competition with the likes of Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini for a first-team place.
