West Ham United and Leicester City reportedly want to bring AC Milan’s Serie A flop Hakan Calhanoglu to the Premier League.

West Ham United have stepped up their interest in AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu with Calciomercato reporting that they have now made contact with the player’s entourage.
The Turkish international is expected to leave the San Siro this summer, having failed to really live up to expectations following his £19 million move from Bayer Leverkusen two years ago.
Calhanoglu arrived in Italy with a reputation for scoring goals from midfield but he’s hit the target just once in 33 Serie A matches across 2018/19 with fans and pundits alike heavily critical of the 25-year-old’s displays.
And Calciomercato believes that the set-piece specialist could be offered an escape route with two Premier League clubs interested – West Ham and Leicester City.

As it stands, however, The Hammers are at the front of the queue. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have even held talks with Calhanoglu’s representatives, having tracked the playmaker for some time.
Fanatik reported last month that Milan had put the one-time Hamburg talisman up for sale, though they want to make a profit on a player they signed during that ill-fated summer of 2017. Calhanoglu is valued at around £26 million.
