The West Ham United youngster was attracting their attention during the summer window.

A report in the Sunday Mirror has suggested that RB Leipzig are, once again, considering a move for West Ham United starlet Reece Oxford.

Sky Sports reported back in June that the newly-promoted Bundesliga outfit were keeping tabs on the Hammers’ academy graduate and were prepared to offer him a contract worth £20,000 a week.

But despite that move failing to materialise, it appears that they have not been deterred as the Mirror is now suggesting that they have kept the 17-year-old on their radar and are ready to splash the cash on bringing him to Germany.

The Mirror reports that Leipzig – who signed Nottingham Forest youngster Oliver Burke for £13m in the summer – have decided that British players are ideal for the German top flight, hence why they are so interested in Oxford.

Though it remains to be seen whether the defender has any interest in following Burke to the Bundesliga, the lack of opportunities at the London Stadium may leave Oxford considering his options during the upcoming windows.

Leipzig have stunned everyone since their promotion, and could actually go level on points with Bayern Munich at the top of the table should they beat Mainz this afternoon, so if Oxford has a desire to test himself in a different league, then perhaps that chance may appeal to him.
