Manchester United’s Ashley Young has reportedly asked to be loaned out.
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United have been sounded out about a move to sign Manchester United winger Ashley Young before next week’s transfer deadline.
The Hammers have seen star playmaker Dimitri Payet demand a move away from the club this month, but his refusal to even play for Slaven Bilic’s men has gifted Manuel Lanzini the chance to become West Ham’s chief playmaker.

It now seems that West Ham will look to sign a winger to replace Payet should he leave this month, and whilst The Telegraph report that an improved bid for Hull City star Robert Snodgrass is imminent, another Premier League wide man could end up at the London Stadium.
The Daily Mail report that West Ham have been ‘sounded out’ about a move for Manchester United’s Ashley Young, who has become something of a forgotten man at Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho’s arrival as manager.

Young, 31, has started just five games in all competitions this season, and he’s played just four times since the end of September having fallen well down the pecking order under Mourinho.
Now, it’s stated that Chinese side Shandong Luneng are hoping to sign Young, but five Premier League sides have been sounded out about possible moves for the wide man; Crystal Palace, Swansea, West Brom, West Ham and former club Watford.
Young has allegedly asked to leave on loan for the rest of the season, and whilst Mourinho doesn’t want to loan anybody out, it’s stated that the Red Devils will consider Young’s request to leave before the transfer deadline.
He may have lost a yard of pace over the years, but United misfit Young still possesses great quality on the ball and a superb work rate, and wouldn’t need any time to adjust to the Premier League, meaning he could be a smart alternative to Hull ace Snodgrass as West Ham line up new additions.
