According to a report from French newspaper L’Equipe, West Ham United striker Sebastien Haller is set for a move to Ajax.
It’s claimed that the deal will be worth around €25million (£22.5million), some way short of the €45million (£41miillion) West Ham spent in 2019.
That would be a loss of almost £20million for West Ham, which will be very hard to stomach for some fans who thought Haller was a superb capture.
If the move does go through, then Haller will be returning to the Eredivisie, having previously starred in the Netherlands with 51 goals in 98 games for Utrecht.
Haller hasn’t that kind of success in England, managing just 14 goals and three assists in 48 appearances, failing to repay his transfer fee.
The 26-year-old will now have the chance to head to Amsterdam in a huge move for the Dutch giants, with West Ham no doubt looking to reinvest that cash.

David Moyes noted Haller’s ‘great reputation’ in November, but he hasn’t been able to get the best out of the Ivorian striker, who now looks set to leave.
The coming hours are thought to be key, but with Haller looking set to leave, West Ham will surely be in the market for another striker this month.
