Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Torino are keen to turn the loan of Nikola Vlasic permanent as early as this month and pay West Ham the required £12.5million in the coming weeks – ‘without waiting until the end of the season’.
West Ham paid CSKA Moscow an enormous £34.5million including add-ons in the summer of 2021. David Moyes chose to bring the Croatia international back to the Premier League. But it did not work – scoring once in 31 games.
It saw the Hammers offload him out on a loan-to-buy deal to Torino. He has impressed in Serie A, having a hand in seven goals during 17 appearances for Torino. Now, CM claim Torino want to sign him permanently, this month.
The report claims that the permanent fee in his loan is just £12.5million. It means that the Hammers are set to make a loss on Vlasic worth a massive £22million. While they will get an early payout, it will be far less than their initial outlay.

Torino keen to turn Vlasic loan permanent and pay West Ham this month
It does come ahead of schedule. The trend is for these loan-to-buy deals to be made permanent at the end of the season. Or, not. It gives the loan club the entire season to analyse before making a decision – but January is an option.
It appears that Vlasic’s form has been so impressive, that the Torino board are happy to pay the required amount to sign him right now. It is unclear if Vlasic is open to a permanent move to the Serie A side, but he is surely happier.
Indeed, he was struggling for starts under Moyes at West Ham – just 16 of his 31 outings coming from the off. Vlasic completed 90 minutes on one occasion in 31 games. So, a move to Torino will surely please him, in the next few weeks.
