West Ham United have set their asking price for Ashley Fletcher as Huddersfield Town consider making a move for the forward.

A report in The Sun has suggested that West Ham will look for a fee of £6 million before they allow Ashley Fletcher to leave the club during the summer window.
The Sun reports that Premier League newbies Huddersfield Town are keen on the striker following their promotion from the Championship, while he had also been a long-term target for Leeds United,having been linked with a move for the former Barnsley man last summer and in January (via The Sun).

While his move to Elland Road never materialised during the previous window, it appears that the Irons are much more open to the idea of letting him leave during the coming months – but only if they receive a bid of £6 million (via The Sun).
If Leeds do still maintain an interest – and that may not be the case given that previous manager Garry Monk has now left the club – it seems highly unlikely that they will stand a particularly strong chance of winning the race.

Huddersfield can offer the 21-year-old Premier League football, and a fee of £6 million is surely a considerable smaller gamble for the Terriers than it would be for Leeds if they did have any hope of rivalling their Yorkshire rivals for his signature.
But whether David Wagner is happy about the idea of seeing around £6 million of his transfer budget spent on a striker who is yet to score in 16 Premier League appearances – in fairness, he started just twice – remains to be seen.
