West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen is reportedly set to be named as Marcus Rashford’s replacement in Gareth Southgate’s England squad later this month.
According to ESPN, the form and lack of playing time from the Manchester United winger is set to see Rashford dropped from the Three Lions team, with England set to play friendlies against Switzerland and the Ivory Coast at Wembley Stadium.
Whilst Bowen is currently nursing an injury, the Athletic report that the winger could only miss just two games for West Ham, with the Irons facing Sevilla away from England and Aston Villa this week back in east London.
The Hammers attacker has been a sensation for David Moyes’ side this season, with Bowen bagging 12 goals and 11 assists this season, and it’s no wonder why the forward is set to replace Rashford.
The United star, who earns a reported £200k-a-week, has struggled massively this season for form under Ralf Rangnick, with the 24-year-old starting just two of the Red Devils’ last games in the Premier League.
And with Bowen flying both domestically and in Europe, it’s no wonder why the forward is set for his first England bow later this month if can remain fit enough to feature for the Three Lions.
