West Ham United are reportedly keen on Colombian defender Yerry Mina.
According to The Mirror, West Ham United are hoping to strike an agreement with Palmeiras for Colombian defender Yerry Mina.
The Hammers have endured defensive problems this season, and Saturday’s 5-0 defeat at home to Manchester City again showed up the issues at the back for Slaven Bilic’s side.

With Cheikhou Kouyate playing out of position at centre back and questions over James Collins’ future at the London Stadium, Bilic may look to land another centre back, given that James Tomkins wasn’t really replaced following his summer move to Crystal Palace.
Now, The Mirror report that West Ham have an interest in signing Colombian defender Yerry Mina, who has been impressing with Brazilian side Palmeiras.

Mina, 22, stands at a giant 6ft 5in tall, and has caught the eye thanks to his size, strength and aerial ability, whilst his goalscoring record – four goals in 13 league games – is also hugely impressive.
Mina, who has five caps for Colombia, only joined Palmeiras from Independiente Santa Fe in May, but his performances have triggered interest from West Ham, though a deal may be complicated.
It’s stated that the Hammers could pursue a January deal, or seek an agreement to take first option to sign Mina over the summer, as they attempt to compete with European giants for Mina’s signature.
The report claims that Barcelona are keen to sign Mina at the end of the season, whilst Manchester City have also looked at the giant defender, meaning West Ham may have to move quickly to get their man.
