According to The Mirror (23/05, p74), West Ham United are attempting to bring Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral to the London Stadium.
It’s claimed that Kral would cost £14million, and West Ham actually tried to sign him during the January window, but the deal stalled.
The Hammers are back in the hunt now, seemingly hoping to finally sign the midfielder during this summer’s window.
Kral, 23, featured for Teplice and Slavia Prague back in his native Czech Republic before a 2019 move to Russia with Spartak.
Kral may look like David Luiz, but he’s actually an all-action midfielder who can play as a holding or box-to-box player thanks to his engine and his intensity.
He has admitted to looking up to both Toni Kroos and Frenkie de Jong, and if he can become even half the player, West Ham could be very happy.

David Moyes could do with another midfielder to help Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek, whilst bringing Kral in would add to the Czech contingent.
Kral knows Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from Slavia and the Czech national team, and has admitted that he is ‘in touch’ with both players.
That would suggest that Kral would fancy reuniting with Soucek and Coufal at West Ham, with all signs pointing towards a summer move.
