West Ham United are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Joe Hart.

According to Sky Sports, West Ham United have stepped up their interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The Hammers have been quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, as their only first team addition has been defender Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Manchester City.

Manager Slaven Bilic certainly needs new faces this summer after a disappointing campaign, and a new goalkeeper should be high on his list of priorities.

Neither Adrian nor Darren Randolph proved that they are worthy of being West Ham’s long-term first-choice goalkeeper, and reports suggest that a new shot-stopper is being targeted.

Sky Sports report that West Ham are now ramping up their interest in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

Hart, 30, has racked up nearly 350 appearances for City whilst also winning two Premier League titles, but he was first replaced by Claudio Bravo and then sent out on loan to Torino.

City boss Pep Guardiola has shown no intention of giving Hart another chance, having signed Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson this summer, and West Ham now believed to be stepping up their efforts to sign the England international this summer.

However, there does still appear to be a gap in the negotiations, as whilst City want to sell Hart, West Ham want to take him on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal, meaning the two clubs may need to reach a compromise to strike a deal.
