According to The Mirror, West Ham United are considering a bold January move to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka.

It’s claimed that the Hammers have been offered the chance to sign Daka, as they seek a new striker having allowed Sebastien Haller to join Ajax.

Daka would allegedly cost £25million, and is thought to be keen on making the move to the Premier League this month.

An interesting factor here is that Daka’s agent is Frederic Kanoute, who spent a fruitful stint with West Ham having hit 33 goals in 92 games.

West Ham’s links to Kanoute may just help them land Daka, which would be quite the coup if they can pull it off in the coming weeks.

Daka, 22, has been sensational this season, smashing 15 goals and five assists in 17 games in all competitions for Red Bull Salzburg.

The Zambian star has blistering pace, and he has certainly shown that he has the finishing ability to match, causing mayhem for defenders.

Zambia boss Milutin Sredojevic has been quoted by The Mirror as saying that he thinks Daka can be compared to Sadio Mane or even Samue Eto’o – and West Ham fans would surely love that.
