West Ham United are reportedly keen on Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.
Ki Sung-Yueng of Swansea in action
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are interested in signing Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng, as well as teammate Alfie Mawson.
The Hammers had picked up a number of positive results this month, but Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat to Newcastle United has given new manager David Moyes a setback.
With West Ham still hovering above the relegation zone, Moyes needs to use the January transfer window to make some smart additions – and a new midfielder appears to be on his wish list.

Mark Noble isn’t having the same influence he used to, which Pedro Obiang and Cheikhou Kouyate have been inconsistent at best this season, meaning a new midfielder should be a priority.
Now, the Daily Mail report that whilst West Ham are interested in signing Swansea defender Alfie Mawson, they are also pursuing teammate Ki Sung-yueng ahead of the January transfer window.
Ki, 28, joined Swansea from Celtic back in 2012, having impressed in Scotland with 11 goals in 87 games for the Bhoys following a 2009 switch from FC Seoul in his native South Korea.

With almost 150 appearances for Swansea, Ki has been an important player under a host of mangers over the years, but he has started just seven Premier League games this season.
West Ham now appear to be keen to take advantage and offer him more playing time in East London, though fans may not be too excited, and whether Swansea will sell to a rival in the battle against relegation is another matter.
