West Ham United are planning to sell Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez as part of a ‘massive’ clearout of strikers this summer, according to The Sun.
The newspaper reports West Ham are prepared to hand Manuel Pellegrini a ‘major transfer warchest’, but want to move on some of their £100,000-a-week earners first.
Key man Arnautovic only recently extended his contract with the Hammers following interest from China, however it is claimed the Premier League club would be keen on a summer exit as they would then have time to sign a ‘top replacement’.
Hernandez and Perez, meanwhile, have struggled this season, and the newspaper adds West Ham will look to offload both players on permanent deals.
Hammers midfielder Pedro Obiang will also be offered a chance to leave, according to the Sun.
Bare bones?
In addition to Arnautovic, Hernandez and Perez, West Ham could also lose another striker, Andy Carroll, when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
The quartet’s departure would however leave Pellegrini’s side without a recognised centre forward.
