David Moyes is planning a summer raid of Nottingham Forest with both Matty Cash and Joe Worrall on West Ham United’s radar, according to the Mirror (10 June, page 47).

It seems that the Hammers have a plan in place. Too often over the years, their recruitment has looked ill-thought out and scattergun at best – but that could soon change.

The London giants bought Jarrod Bowen from Hull City in January and he could be just the first in a whole host of second-tier talent who end up wearing claret and blue.

As the Daily Star points out, Moyes is looking to bring the most exciting footballers in the Championship to West Ham with Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins having been linked recently.

And, according to The Mirror, a pair of Nottingham Forest defenders are also on the radar of the former Manchester United boss.

West Ham’s interest in Cash is nothing new, they were linked heavily in January of course, but the winger-turned-right-back is in their sights again with the summer window creaking open.

The Slough-born flyer is just one of a whole host of right-backs who have been tipped to join West Ham, with Pablo Zabaleta’s imminent retirement forcing the Londoners to dip into the market.

The report adds that another Nottingham Forest academy graduate, influential centre-half Worrall, is also a target.

Though landing a towering and commanding figure, who has often worn the captain’s armband for Forest, will be easier said than done – especially if Sabri Lamouchi’s team are promoted to the Premier League.
