West Ham United are reportedly keen on Saint-Etienne forward Jonathan Bamba.

According to a report from The Sun, West Ham United are interested in Saint-Etienne forward Jonathan Bamba – and hope to seal a pre-contract agreement for the forward.
The Hammers are still in the market for attacking reinforcements even after bringing in Jordan Hugill from Preston North End on deadline day last month, and manager David Moyes appears to be planning another move.
It’s claimed that West Ham hold an interest in signing Saint-Etienne forward Bamba, and are hoping to pounce given that his contract expires at the end of this season.

Bamba, 21, has come through the ranks at Saint-Etienne following a 2011 switch from UJA Alfortville, and has spent time out on loan with Paris FC, Sint-Truiden and Angers before starring this season with six goals in just 22 Ligue 1 games.
A bargain for West Ham?
West Ham have gone down the route of pre-contracts in recent years, though the likes of Havard Nordtveit and Sofiane Feghouli are hardly shining examples of why the Hammers should make similar moves.

However, Bamba appears to be a fairly sensible target for West Ham, giving that he is enjoying his best season yet and, at just 21, has huge potential to become a star of the future.
Bamba’s versatility would also be greatly welcomed by Moyes, given that Bamba can play both out wide and up front, having featured in both roles for Saint-Etienne this season, providing a versatile attacking weapon for West Ham.
Given his age, West Ham would be required to pay compensation for Bamba, but he could arrive at a bargain price, and bring more pace to Moyes’ attack ahead of next season.
