West Ham United are reportedly looking to bring in a new striker in January.

West Ham United are preparing to make a bid for Krasnodar striker Fedor Smolov in the January transfer window as new manager David Moyes seeks to strengthen his squad.
It has been a miserable season so far for West Ham, who are in 18th place in the Premier League table.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Smolov, who is valued at £15 million, is open to the prospect of making the switch to English football.

Smolov has produced some impressive performances so far this season and has scored eight goals in eleven league games.
West Ham are certainly in need of an additional attacking option as, although Javier Hernandez is a talented player, Andy Carroll has struggled this season and Diafra Sakho has found it difficult to remain fit for a lengthy period of time.

At the age of 27, Russia international Smolov possesses a considerable amount of experience and could be a useful signing as West Ham look to move up the table.
In addition to attempting to bring in a new striker, West Ham will surely have to strengthen in other areas, especially central midfield, if their fortunes are to improve.
