West Ham United are reportedly looking to sign Argentinian striker Lucas Pratto.
According to The Sun, West Ham United are making a £12million move to sign Atletico Mineiro’s Argentinian striker Lucas Pratto in January.
The Hammers desperately need another striker in January, as summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza have been major flops having failed to score in any competition since signing from Deportivo Maldonado and Juventus respectively.

Andy Carroll may be back from injury, but hasn’t proven that he can stay fit for a whole season, whilst Diafra Sakho is currently out injured, and youngster Ashley Fletcher is seen as one for the future.
Now, The Sun report that West Ham are lining up a move to sign Atletico Mineiro striker Lucas Pratto, who could cost around £12million in next month’s transfer window.
West Ham United’s Jonathan Calleri shoots wide
Pratto, 28, has hit 41 goals in 101 games for Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro, as he continues to impress in South America, having scored 43 times in 128 games for Velez Sarsfield in his native Argentina.
Pratto has recently ousted Gonzalo Higuain in the Argentina side, and he’s hit two goals in four games for his country, meaning it’s no great surprise that clubs are starting to look into his signature.
A strong, burly striker who stands at 6ft 2in tall, Pratto could fit the bill for West Ham as an alternative to target man Carroll, but the Hammers will understandably have questions about him.
Pratto scored just three goals in 17 games for Genoa during his last stint in Europe, whilst West Ham’s last striker signing from South America – the aforementioned Calleri – has been a major flop, and West Ham may look to land somebody with a proven Premier League record instead.
