According to The Sun, West Ham United chose to sell winger Grady Diangana against the wishes of boss David Moyes.
The Hammers sold Diangana to West Bromwich Albion on Friday, with The Express and Star claiming the deal was worth just £12million up front.
That may rise to £18million in due course, but the deal caused uproar amongst West Ham fans who felt Diangana was the future of the club, rather than a player sacrificed to raise funds.
Captain Mark Noble and midfielder Jack Wilshere both spoke out against the move on Friday, and it now seems Moyes isn’t a fan either.
Moyes allegedly wanted to keep Diangana, but owners David Gold and David Sullivan went ahead with the deal regardless, with the Scot pretty much overruled.
Diangana, 22, isn’t a world beater at this stage, but that isn’t the point. He was a homegrown talent at West Ham, and a player who the club should have been building around over the coming years.

He was outstanding in the Championship last season, registering eight goals and six assists whilst dazzling defences with his incredible skill.
Sadly, poor recruitment in the past, the global pandemic and the inability to move on other players means Diangana has been sacrificed to bring in cash whilst others will remain at the London Stadium.
This isn’t how Diangana’s time at West Ham should have ended. The fans have been robbed of seeing Diangana and Jarrod Bowen on opposite flanks, and fans will only be even more wound up after hearing that Gold and Sullivan allegedly went over Moyes’ head to sell the winger.
