West Ham United offered Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri the chance to double his wages with a £51,000-a-week pay-packet at the London Stadium, as reported by El Desmarque.
While fans of the Europa League winners may have become somewhat desensitised to the departures of key players, things may be changing at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
After highly-rated centre-halves Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos turned down summer moves away from Andalusia, En-Nesyri has made it clear that he will not be swapping Seville for the Premier League during the final week of the January transfer window (ED).
West Ham offered £22.5 million for the Morocco international but, as his agent explained to ABC Sevilla, En-Nesyri is loving life under Julen Lopetegui.
“Not everything is money in life,” said Anass Ouzifi
“I only spoke once with Youssef about this issue. I said; ‘Look, Youssef; you have an offer from England. They called me. They want to pay you more than double what you earn at Sevilla and I want to know your opinion’.
“He quickly told me ‘no, no’, to tell them that he was very happy at Sevilla and that he didn’t want to go anywhere.”
Now, El Desmarque has offered an insight into the figures involved in a deal that looks dead in the water with just a few days until the window slams shut.

West Ham offered En-Nesyri around £2.6 million a year (£51,000-a-week after tax). That is twice the amount he takes home at Sevilla.
But with the former Leganes ace in the form of his life for a Sevilla side now flying high in the Champions League places, En-Nesyri’s story has a few chapters left to write.
He has scored two hat-tricks in his last four matches with a tally of 12 making him La Liga’s joint top-scorer, alongside Luis Suarez.
