The West Ham United youngster is in the penultimate year of his existing deal.

Declan Rice has been offered just £15,000 a week to sign a new contract with West Ham United, according to the Sun.
And the newspaper reports that despite earlier claims that West Ham are confident of tying down the teenager (Sky Sports), talks have in fact ground to a halt after months without any formal negotiations.
The Sun states that the Hammers’ offer represents a 400 per cent wage hike for Rice, who is in the penultimate year of his existing £3,000-a-week deal.
As the newspaper points out however, that would still see the former Chelsea youth team player paid ‘less than a quarter’ of some of his defensive colleagues’ salaries – with Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop referenced later in the report.

Rice, who has recently deputised admirably for Jack Wilshere in central midfield, is already courting ‘bigger clubs’ as well as the England national team, according to the Sun.
But the ball could still remain in West Ham’s court, with Rice’s existing contract said to contain a one-year extension option in the London club’s favour.
