The Hammers are reportedly tussling with Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

The Hammers have long been linked with a move for one-time Brazil international Anderson, but are yet to meet president Claudio Lotito’s valuation of the attacking star – as negotiations continue.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are also said to be interested in Belgium international Lukaku – brother of Manchester United star Romelu – who plays as a left-back. Now, it is believed West Ham have made a double offer for the Lazio duo.

However, it is believed that Lotito is continuing to strive for a hard bargain and has asked West Ham to include another £4.4million on top of the original £40million packet if the Hammers want to land both players.

The report does state, though, that West Ham could table another offer in the coming hours in order to tempt Lazio chief Lotito into finally selling both Lukaku and Anderson to Pellegrini’s side.
It is believed that a deal should go through when the club finally agrees a double fee for both players, with the two stars agreeing five-year deals. Anderson will reportedly earn £60,000 a week, while Lukaku will be on slightly less – £42,000.
