West Ham United have reportedly made a new bid for Brentford attacker Scott Hogan.

According to Sky Sports, West Ham United have submitted a third bid for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, believed to be worth £12million.

The Hammers attempted to land a big-name striker over the summer, but ended up signing Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri on loan from Juventus and Deportivo Maldonado respectively.

However, neither player has even managed to find the net, and they are both set to leave West Ham this month, leaving Slaven Bilic and co to scour the transfer market again in search of a new striker.

Now, Sky Sports report that West Ham are returning with a third bid for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, and have submitted an offer worth £12million after two prior rejections.

Hogan, 24, joined Brentford from Rochdale in 2015, but missed 18 months through injury, only to return at the end of last season with seven goals in seven games for the Championship club.

This term, Hogan has excelled with 14 goals in just 26 games, establishing himself as one of the division’s most dangerous strikers, with his pace causing problems for a number of Championship defenders.

After having a second bid of £10million rejected for Hogan, West Ham are now believed to have return with an offer of £12million for the former non-league striker, who played alongside Jamie Vardy at Halifax Town.

However, Brentford are holding out for around £15million, meaning West Ham may yet need to increase their bid even higher to land their man, who is allegedly keen on a move to the Premier League this month.
