David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing Newcastle United target Attila Szalai in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

The report has claimed that West Ham are looking at signing Fenerbahce central defender Szalai, with fellow centre-back Issa Diop set to leave for Fulham for £17 million.
The Hungary international centre-back could be available for £10 million to £15 million, according to the report.
Interestingly, Newcastle have also been linked with Szalai.
Takvim reported in June that Newcastle, Fulham and Nottingham Forest watched the defender in action for Hungary against England.
Eddie Howe’s side have since signed defender Sven Botman.
That Newcastle scouted Szalai indicates how highly he is rated in the football community.

Attila Szalai joined Fenerbahçe from Apollon Limassol in January 2021 and has been superb for the Turkish giants.
The 24-year-old has established himself as a key player in the team and has a lot more to give in the coming years.
The Hungary international centre-back made 25 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Turkish Super Lig last season, scoring one goal and giving two assists in the process.
Szalai scored three goals in 21 league appearances in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign for Fenerbahce.
