According to the Guardian, West Ham are interested in signing CSKA Moscow forward Nikola Vlasic, who Everton are also keen on.
What’s the story?
Well, the Guardian believe David Moyes is eyeing the 23-year-old as an alternative to Jesse Lingard.
Manchester United are demanding £25m for the 28-year-old, which has led to the east Londoners scouring the market for other options.
One of those is Vlasic, who spent time in the Premier League with Everton.
The 26-cap Croatia international made just 12 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, before being sold for just £14m after only one season.
Now, the Toffees appear to regret that move, as they are believed to be interested in re-signing the forward.
West Ham and Everton fighting for Luka Modric 2.0

In an interview with Sports Gazette, Vlasic was likened to his fellow countryman Luka Modric.
He reacted to that claim by admitting he’d like to play in La Liga one day, before adding Modric into his all-time XI.
In our view, West Ham should forget about Lingard and turn their attention to Vlasic instead.

The winger is just 23, whereas Lingard is 28. Additionally, the Croatian wouldn’t cost as much, while he also has time on his side to improve.
In 34 appearances last season, Vlasic scored 12 goals and provided six assists.
In our view, he would be a fantastic signing for the east Londoners.
